Our 7-night, 6-day Orkney Islands Extra holiday began by popular request from guests who had enjoyed our Orkney Adventure holidays and wanted to return to see more of our islands.
This holiday can be taken as a stand-alone holiday if you’ve visited Orkney before and want to see more, or can be combined with one of our Orkney Adventure holidays to give a 14-night holiday.
If you have never visited Orkney before we would suggest you take one of our other Orkney holidays first.

7-night, 6-day Orkney Islands Extra Itinerary
Saturday Day 1: arrive at your hotel in time for dinner, or a free day if you’re combining this week with our Orkney Adventure holiday.
Sunday Day 2: Island of Papa Westray - Knap of Howar, St. Boniface Kirk, and Holland Farm Bothy Museum
Monday Day 3: Island of Wyre - Cubbie Roo’s Castle, St Mary’s Church
Tuesday Day 4: Island of Hoy - scenic cliff top walk to the Old Man of Hoy
Wednesday Day 5: Island of Sanday - Quoyness chambered tomb, Tofts Ness prehistoric landscape
Thursday Day 6: Island of Westray - Quoygrew Norse settlement, Castle of Noltland, Links of Noltland and Ladykirk, Pierowall
Friday Day 7: Island of Shapinsay - Balfour Village and Heritage Centre, Burroughston Broch, the Mor Stein
Saturday Day 8: depart
