Our all-inclusive small group holidays are designed to make the most of your visit to Orkney. With a maximum group size of just eight people this is the ideal way to see the best of Orkney with a small party of like-minded travellers.
There’s much, much more to Orkney than just the Mainland, so all our holidays take internal Orkney Ferries rides to other islands in the group. We offer a range of itineraries and dates to suit all tastes.
Many tour operators who bring groups to Orkney advertising ‘specialist archaeology tours’ or ‘archaeology study tours’ come with a big coach and 40 guests – this is not the way to appreciate Orkney! We deliberately keep our groups small to give you a high quality experience with the personal touch.
Please note that we find many of our most popular holiday weeks sell out a year in advance and we’re usually pretty much fully booked by January of the arrival year, so please don’t leave it too late to book or you may be disappointed.
For 2012 we are offering a choice of three different holiday itineraries with 7-night and 10-night options, with a wide choice of arrival dates.
Our 7-night, 6-day ‘Orkney Adventure’ holidays include not only the ‘must see’ sites of Mainland Orkney, but also many other excellent sites neglected by most visitors, together with full day excursions via short ferry rides to the islands of Rousay and Hoy.
The 'Orkney Adventure' is our original one-week holiday - the only thing that has changed is it now has a name to distinguish it from our new holiday options - and this holiday has proved very popular with guests over the last six years.
Our 10-night, 9-day ‘Orkney Odyssey’ holiday is new for 2012 and includes not just Mainland Orkney, but also days out via ferry rides to five other islands: Rousay, Hoy, Westray, Papa Westray and Sanday.
Our 7-night, 6-day ‘Orkney Islands Extra’ holidays were developed by popular request from guests who had done our ‘Orkney Adventure’ holiday and wanted to return. We have been offering them by word-of mouth to our existing clients over the last three years, but they have proved so popular that this year we are offering them to all.
On this holiday we visit a different island every day: Westray, Papa Westray, Sanday, Wyre, Shapinsay and Hoy, where we walk to the famous Old Man of Hoy sea stack.
We also offer private holidays if you prefer not to join a group
